Banksia grandis
This is the seed pod of a West Australian species of banksia. It grows to a large size, and is turnable when dry. Supplied as a random mix of larger sized pods.

Xanthorroa australis
This is a perennial with a bulbous underground stem developing into a slender trunk. It is harvested from dry dead plants only. Note that the dust from this plant is an extreme irritant, and great care must be taken to ensure proper ventilation is provided and masks are used when turning.

Santalum species
Small hardwoods of West Australia and western Queensland. Heart wood is pale yellow to pale brown with creamy sapwood. Now rare, it is in great demand in south east Asia and China for manufacture into josh sticks. Sandalwood oil is distilled and used in soap, perfumes and medicines. The Queensland variety is less scented and cheaper. Sold as small log sections.
